S690 QL is a high yieldstructural steel grade produced in compliance with EN 10025:6:2004.The material is heats treated using the quench and temper process andhas good bending and welding properties.Â
- The code âÂÂSâ for steelgrade S690QL means structural steel.
- The code âÂÂQâ refers tothe delivery condition, in this case to quenched & Tempered.
- The code â Lâ means thatthe average minimum values for impact energy have been definedat a temperature of -40ðC.
Due to the materials highstrength nature, using S690QL will promote leaner designed structureswith increased payload capacity and energy efficiency.Â
